ABOUT

IDLEWILD SOUTH

Idlewild South is an Atlanta based blog covering style, music, design, food and drink and other aspects of culture in the Southeast and beyond. With a strong belief that all creative effort, by nature, should be authentic, crafted with passion, and reflective of one's heritage and true character. From craft cocktails and farm-to-table cuisine to artisan goods and handcrafted wears, Idlewild South champions a way of life that is honest and full of heart. As a born and bred Atlantan, Idlewild South blogger Mary Elizabeth Kidd finds this way of life to be particularly Southern in nature...

Authentic [ au·then·tic . adjective . \ə-ˈthen-tik, ȯ-\ ] - True to one's own personality, spirit, or character.

At Idlewild South, personal style is viewed as an irrevocable part of everyone that dictates how our innermost self lines up with how we express ourselves through dress, health and beauty, creativity, demeanor, etc. Style is bigger and better than fashion, it's a long-term exploration of personal growth.

"Style is knowing who you are, what to say and not giving a damn."
- Gore Vidal
