This season's fashion weeks (inc. NY, London, Paris) have been among my favorite lately, like the crown jewel of PFW, Lanvin, which was rich with tapestries, furs, metallic chiffon and luxe 70s boho splendor. Here's a peek at Ulrich Knoblauch's spectacular shots for Vogue Paris of one of my fave shows.
Alber Elbaz (aka the Frenchman I would most like to be my gay best friend) paid homage to his birthplace of Casablanca with Moroccan opulence and gypsy glamor. He's quoted in Tim Blanks' collection review quite beautifully: "Fashion is a human story...an industry that makes things with its hands. High tech stole the glamour of fashion." This collection reminded me of a bygone era of whismy, romanticism and the glamour of hand-crafted wears that told a story beyond just one season. Simply put, I'm in love!
