Hopefully you know by now that the second year of Atlanta's newest musical novelty is right around the corner - the Shaky Knees Music Fest, held this year at Atlantic Station on May 9-11 with late night shows held at venues around town over the weekend. We're two weeks away and if you haven't gotten your tickets yet, do now (HERE ya go) and nail down your schedule for three days of incredible music.
I don't know about you, but I think the price tag of $170 is more than worth it for a lineup stacked top to bottom with amazing acts. Take a look for yourself and, if you're anything like me, get that schedule nailed because so many of these shows are un-missable; check out and set your own plans HERE, see if your friends can keep up. Some of my top picks are below, and scroll down for a Shaky Knees playlist to get ya going.
I'll be reprising my gig this year of photographing the stylish attendees for another couple of posts like last year's debut festival for a 2014 Shaky Knees Style Report. Here's my post from last year, (linked and below so start planning your getup now…or rather, don't; my favorite thing about last year was the enormous amount of laid-back-cool, effortlessly stylish people in attendance. You just do your thing, kids, do your thing…I'll be there with a camera.
More posts coming as Idlewild counts down to this great weekend…followed closely by Hangout Festival, coverage on that coming soon. And stay posted with more musical/style updates over on Dropping the Needle with my fashion/music loving bestie Miss Molly Free.
We're in for a Southern spring and summer filled with great music, beautiful weather, distinctive style and cold beer…let's do this, y'all.
