No more pencils, no more books, no more teacher's dirty looks...School's out for summer! Well, not for all of us, the 9-5 beats on, but atleast you can spend the weekends in jean shorts, swimsuits and drinking Margaritas at any hour. On that note, I've picked some of my favorite beauty picks to keep that glow going and prep for our beating Southern sun...
Avalon Organics Vitamin C Renewal Hydrating Cleansing Milk - I love starting and ending my day with this silky smooth, soothing cleanser. it's soap-free and hydrating and smells delicious. In learning more about my specific skin needs, I know that milky cleansers like this are best for my dry skin and I personally love that this is an organic cleanser at a great price (found at Target and Whole Foods for about $11).
La Roche-Posay Anthelios 60 Melt-in sunscreen Milk - Always wear sunscreen, blah, blah, blah...we hear it all the time, but I've always wavered in my attention to it, until lately. This broad spectrum UVA/UVB sunscreen caught my attention because it was from the French skincare line Roche-Posay, and the French really know their *ish when it comes to skincare. I hate the feel of chalky, burn-your-skin sunscreen, but this milky lotion is soothing and soaks in quickly. At $36 from La Roche-Posay, it's a small price more to pay for hope of looking like a twenty-something when you're sixty-something. Here's hoping!
Dermalogica Multivitamin Thermafoliant - I recently had my first (ever) facial with Lawrence at Urban Body Salon & Spa (call him, seriously). I'm a total convert, a newly-minted facial geek - I loved it. Going back ASAP. Not only did it turn me on to the idea of truly pampering your face (le duh), but the Dermalogica facial I had also exposed me to this awesome product...Imagine a deeply nourishing lotion, chock full 'o vitamins, that heats up as you apply. I know, mind blown. The Dermalogica Mulitvitamin Thermafoliant is an incredible end-of-day moisturizer that uses a unique polishing, warming formula to infuse skin with all sorts of good things (read about it HERE). I didn't even look at the price on this, just bought it, obsessed (it's $52, but don't worry about that). I highly recommend this, just look at the number of italics I used here, I mean it!
Lorac TANtalizer Baked Bronzer - Now for a little makeup extra to this beauty-heavy post...The Lorac TANtilizer Baked Bronzer is my one beauty bag go-to that I cannot live without. I use this peachy/pearly, not-too-tan bronzer all over (I love it as a daytime eye shadow) for a little extra glow without the "ooh, too much tan" look. It's all about that perfect, dare I say, sunkissed glow, and this is the absolute best product I've ever used that fits the bill. Pick this up at Sephora or Ulta (you'll get a ton of use out of this $32) and glow your own way my Idlewild South dears.
